One of the finest machines of its type ever produced, the commercial-duty WEIBANG Intrepid 48 SCP Professional Petrol Scarifier has been designed in the UK to meet the needs of local-authority park keepers, sports clubs, horticulturists, hire companies and exacting domestic gardeners who are serious about their lawn.

The WEIBANG Intrepid 48 SCP uses a series of 28, exceptionally robust, carbon-steel blades to drag moss, thatch and any dead material from the lawn surface, which in turn allows water, nutrients and air to penetrate deep into the root network. Carried out regularly, this process leads to a gradual, but definite, improvement in lawn health. The swing-tip design of the blades means the transmission is protected should they contact a solid, immovable object.

Providing that power – an impressive 5.5hp – is a large-displacement, 196cc, WEIBANG X200H engine that’s designed to handle the demands of the commercial operator, and which features an OHV formation for lower fuel costs, less noise and fewer nasty exhaust emissions.

The working-depth on the highly productive, 48cm, WEIBANG Intrepid 48 SCP is infinitely adjustable through 22mm, so you can be a gentle or aggressive in approach as the condition of the lawn dictates (adjustment is simple, via a single lever).

Many garden machines can be difficult to find a space for, and hard to maintain – that’s not the case with the WEIBANG Intrepid 486 CRB, as the quick-release folding handlebars can be configured for upright storage, which also provides unfettered access to the unit’s underside.

A powder-coated steel deck and hybrid nylon/polyurethane wheels combine to confer superior durability; an extended five-year manufacturer’s warranty underlines the machine’s build quality.

Maximum ground penetration is 16mm.

The warranty is one-year for commercial use (five years for domestic use).
