WEIBANG Velocity 68 WFP Professional Wheeled Flail Mower
With a voracious appetite for all manner of long-neglected, out-of-control vegetation, this commercial-duty workhorse of a flail mower from WEIBANG is aimed at landscape contractors, local authority workers, smallholders, orchard keepers and anyone else needing a rough-cut machine that will never let them down.
Providing the WEIBANG Velocity 68 WFP Professional Wheeled Flail Mower with an impressive, 8.9hp is a WEIBANG XC400H engine, which has a 392cc cylinder displacement – that’s around twice the size of the largest engines on conventional walk-behind rotary mowers.
An OHV formation keeps noise, vibration, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions at manageable levels; a substantial, six-litre petrol tank sees large expanses of ground covered between each refuelling break.
At the heart of the WEIBANG Velocity 68 WFP is a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), whereby the use of pulleys rather than fixed gears enables stepless ground-speed adjustment, which in turn ensures an unbeatably smooth driving experience.
The 38, Y-shaped flail blades on the WEIBANG Velocity 68 WFP offers aggressive cutting performance, and as such will tear through the sort of dense undergrowth that would defeat a rotary blade.
Independent wheel brakes – controlled using two, perfectly placed levers – make steering what’s a heavy, substantial machine a breeze; an ergonomically designed ‘cockpit’ provides easy, intuitive access to all the main functions (flail engagement, OPC, choke, etc.).
Designed with comfort and convenience to the fore, the WEIBANG Velocity 68 WFP is equipped with height-adjustable handlebars, which can also be offset for up-to-the-edge mowing alongside walls and hedgerows.
It boasts a pivoting cutter deck, which means a no-missed-bits finish on rolling terrain; and it runs on sizeable, agricultural-tread drive-wheel tyres for high-grip traction in difficult conditions.
Other key attributes include infinitely variable height adjustment, which allows you to set the height of the flails relative to the ground with the utmost precision; and a deck maintenance position, which provides easy access to the undercarriage for cleaning or servicing.
Recommended area: 6000m2.
